Description
The ProbeSeq Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2 / ERBB2) Nanobody is a recombinant single-domain antibody (VHH) engineered for high-affinity and selective binding to HER2, a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cellular growth and proliferation signaling. This nanobody supports research-use diagnostic assay development, oncology biomarker detection, and advanced biosensor integration.
HER2 is a clinically validated biomarker widely used in breast cancer classification, therapeutic response monitoring, and tumor progression assessment. Overexpression or amplification of HER2 is associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes and targeted therapy selection. Sensitive and specific detection of HER2 is critical for oncology research, liquid biopsy studies, and development of rapid point-of-care cancer diagnostics.
Derived from camelid heavy-chain antibody architecture, this nanobody consists of a single monomeric VHH domain (~15 kDa) providing strong antigen recognition, rapid binding kinetics, and high structural stability. Compared with conventional antibodies, nanobodies offer improved thermal stability, enhanced surface immobilization efficiency, and reduced steric hindrance, making them highly suitable for electrochemical biosensors, microfluidic platforms, and high-sensitivity diagnostic systems.
Typical assay workflows use sample input volumes ranging from approximately 5–50 µL depending on platform configuration and detection method. The nanobody is compatible with serum, plasma, cell lysates, extracellular vesicles, and buffered biological samples following assay optimization.
