Description
The ProbeSeq Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) Nanobody is a recombinant single-domain antibody (VHH) engineered for high-affinity and selective binding to human cardiac troponin I, a regulatory protein released into circulation following myocardial injury. This nanobody supports research-use diagnostic assay development, cardiac biomarker detection, and advanced biosensor integration.
Cardiac troponin I is widely recognized as the gold-standard biomarker for detection of myocardial infarction and cardiac injury. Elevated circulating levels reflect cardiomyocyte damage and are central to acute coronary syndrome diagnosis and cardiac monitoring. Rapid and sensitive detection of cTnI is critical for cardiovascular research, emergency diagnostics, and development of rapid point-of-care testing technologies.
Derived from camelid heavy-chain antibody architecture, this nanobody consists of a single monomeric VHH domain (~15 kDa) providing strong antigen recognition, rapid binding kinetics, and high structural stability. Compared with conventional antibodies, nanobodies offer enhanced thermal stability, efficient surface immobilization, and reduced steric hindrance, enabling high-performance detection in electrochemical biosensors, microfluidic devices, and miniaturized diagnostic platforms.
Typical assay workflows use sample input volumes ranging from approximately 5–50 µL depending on platform configuration and detection method. The nanobody is compatible with serum, plasma, whole blood extracts, and buffered biological samples following appropriate assay optimization.
