Description

The ProbeSeq Neisseria gonorrhoeae LAMP Primer Set is a ready-to-use six-primer architecture engineered for fluorescence-based loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) targeting conserved genomic regions of N. gonorrhoeae. This product is designed for research-use molecular detection, STI assay development, and integration into decentralized nucleic acid amplification systems.

Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a major sexually transmitted pathogen of global concern, with increasing antimicrobial resistance driving demand for rapid molecular detection technologies. LAMP enables amplification at a constant temperature, reducing instrumentation complexity and supporting portable and point-of-care testing concepts. Reliable LAMP performance depends strongly on primer structure and thermodynamic balance; this primer set has been configured to support stable amplification kinetics and controlled fluorescence signal development while minimizing non-specific amplification artifacts.

What’s Included

Each set contains a complete LAMP primer architecture:

  • F3 and B3 outer primers

  • FIP and BIP inner primers

  • LF and LB loop primers

Primers are individually labeled and supplied with sequence documentation for research traceability and workflow integration.

Target Strategy

The primer system targets a conserved genomic region of N. gonorrhoeae selected for:

  • High specificity relative to commensal Neisseria species

  • Minimal homology to human genomic sequences

  • Reduced risk of non-specific amplification

Target selection prioritizes assay robustness and compatibility with fluorescence-based monitoring systems.

Product Format

Available in two configurations:

Lyophilized format
• Delivered dry for enhanced stability
• Reconstitute in nuclease-free water or preferred buffer

Solution format
• 500 µM stock concentration per primer
• Supplied in nuclease-free water or TE buffer

Standard packaging supports approximately 100–200 reactions depending on reaction volume and optimization parameters. Custom synthesis scales are available for larger research or device-development programs.

Performance Orientation

Designed for compatibility with fluorescence-based LAMP workflows, including:

  • Intercalating dye fluorescence monitoring

  • Real-time isothermal-capable instruments

  • Portable fluorescence readers

  • Cartridge-integrated and microfluidic amplification systems

Typical reaction temperature range: 60–65 °C. Primer ratios follow standard LAMP architecture; optimization may be required depending on enzyme chemistry and detection platform.

Quality Control

Each batch undergoes:

  • Sequence verification

  • Mass confirmation

  • Concentration validation

  • Manufacturing quality control review

Certificate of Analysis (CoA) available upon request.

Storage

Store at –20 °C.
Lyophilized primers are stable for up to 12 months under recommended storage conditions.
Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles for solution format.

Applications

  • Gonorrhea molecular detection research

  • STI panel development and validation

  • Rapid isothermal amplification assay development

  • Point-of-care testing platform prototyping

  • Biosensor and microfluidic integration studies
